SWITZERLAND
Psalm 20:7 “Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God.”
Switzerland, located in the heart of Europe and surrounded by the Alps, is home to about 8.8–9 million people living among diverse linguistic and cultural regions. The nation’s spiritual heritage has been shaped by Christianity, particularly Reformed Protestant and Roman Catholic traditions that played a significant role during the Reformation. Today, many Swiss identify as secular or non-practicing, while immigration continues to bring new cultures and faith backgrounds into the country. In a society known for stability and prosperity, the call of Psalm 20 reminds believers to place their ultimate trust not in wealth or security, but in the Lord alone.
Switzerland’s history as a center of theological influence and humanitarian work offers a strong foundation for renewed spiritual awakening — a chance for the Church to reflect Christ’s compassion and truth in a modern context.
Prayer Focus:
-
Pray for the younger generation to be open to the Gospel, willing to surrender their lives fully to Christ and discover true purpose beyond success or comfort.
-
Ask God to replace apathy and distraction within the Church with a deep hunger for His presence, Word, and Spirit-led mission.
-
Pray for a united and loving outreach toward the growing immigrant population, that believers would demonstrate hospitality, unity, and genuine Christlike love across cultural boundaries.
